This list is in our recommended order, not speed order. We won't rank casinos by speed until we've timed their withdrawals, so each payout time is the casino's own stated time.

The short answer

A casino payout has two parts: the casino approving your withdrawal, then the payment provider moving the money. We haven't timed any withdrawals yet, so every time in the table below is the casino's stated time. Interac says an e-Transfer can take up to 30 minutes to arrive once the casino sends it. Verifying your ID before you ask for a payout removes one common cause of delay. We compared 19 casinos on 22 Oct 2026.

What a payout time really means

A casino payout isn't one event. It has three stages, and each has its own clock:

  1. Your request. You ask for a withdrawal in the cashier. Some casinos keep it pending for a set period before they look at it, and you can cancel it during that time.
  2. The casino's approval. The finance team checks your identity, any bonus wagering and your withdrawal limits, then releases the payment. Some casinos approve payouts only during business hours or on business days.
  3. The transfer. The payment provider moves the money to you. Interac says an e-Transfer can take up to 30 minutes once it's sent, depending on your bank or credit union. Card and bank payouts can take several business days.

When a casino states a payout time, check what it covers. "Processed within 24 hours" usually means approved within 24 hours, not money in your account. The clock that matters to you runs from your request to the money in your bank, and that's the one we'll measure.

Are there instant withdrawal casinos in Canada?

Some casinos advertise withdrawals that way. We don't use the word for any casino until we've timed its payouts ourselves, and we haven't timed any yet.

Two steps stand between your request and the money, even at a casino that approves quickly. The first is approval, which can be an automated check, a person in the finance team, or both. The second is the transfer, which depends on the method. An e-Transfer can take up to 30 minutes after the casino sends it, according to Interac. A crypto payout depends on the network and on how many confirmations your wallet or exchange waits for.

Be wary of any site that promises payouts with no ID checks. Verification protects you as well as the casino: it makes it harder for someone else to withdraw from your account. Upload your documents when you open the account instead.

Payout times by method

These are general patterns, not promises for any casino. Each casino's stated time is in the table above.

  • Interac e-Transfer. Once the casino approves and sends it, Interac says the transfer can take up to 30 minutes. With Autodeposit set up at your bank, the money goes straight into your account without a security question. You need a Canadian bank account. More on Interac casinos.
  • Debit and credit cards. Payouts to cards, where a casino allows them, go back through the card network and can take several business days to show. Some casinos can't pay winnings to a credit card at all.
  • Bank transfers. Services such as iDebit move money between the casino and your online banking, and times depend on the service and your bank. A direct bank wire is often the slowest route and can carry fees.
  • E-wallets. After approval, the money usually reaches the wallet quickly. Moving it from the wallet to your bank is a second transfer, with its own time and sometimes a fee.
  • Crypto. Some casinos pay out in cryptocurrency. The transfer time depends on the coin and how busy its network is. You then need an exchange to turn it into dollars, which adds time and fees, and the value can change while you wait. A payout sent to a wrong wallet address can't be reversed.

What slows a withdrawal

  • ID checks not done. If you haven't finished the casino's ID checks, the first withdrawal waits while you upload documents and the casino reviews them.
  • Bonus wagering. While a bonus is active, you usually can't withdraw until you've met its wagering. Asking for a payout early can cancel the bonus and anything won with it.
  • Deposit turnover. Some casinos ask you to bet your deposit at least once before you withdraw it, even without a bonus.
  • Pending periods. A pending period adds hours or days before approval begins.
  • Weekends and holidays. A request made on a Friday evening may wait until the next business day. Check which time zone the casino's business hours use.
  • First withdrawals and large wins. Casinos often check a first payout more closely, and some pay large amounts in instalments to stay within their withdrawal limits.
  • Method rules. Casinos usually pay back to the method you deposited with. If that method can't take withdrawals, you'll need to add another, which can mean another check.
  • Details that don't match. The names on your casino account, bank account and ID need to match. A mismatch stops the payment.

If a payout is late, contact live chat with your transaction reference and ask for a written timeline. If that doesn't settle it, use the casino's formal complaint process, then the regulator or dispute service named in its terms.

How to get paid faster

  1. Verify your identity as soon as you open the account, before you need a payout.
  2. Deposit and withdraw with the same method, and pick one that pays out, such as Interac e-Transfer.
  3. Read the bonus terms before you accept a bonus. If you want quick access to any winnings, you can usually decline it.
  4. Ask for payouts on a weekday, early in the casino's business day.
  5. Check the minimum withdrawal and the daily or weekly caps so your request isn't returned.
  6. For e-Transfers, set up Autodeposit with your bank so the money arrives without a security question.

How we'll time withdrawals

Every payout time on this page is currently the casino's own claim. We'll replace them with measured times once we've run our own tests. This is the method we plan to use:

  • A named tester who lives in Canada withdraws real money to their own Canadian bank account, from a province we cover.
  • The tester signs up on the casino's own site, not through our links, so a test account earns us nothing.
  • ID checks are finished before the test starts, and the deposit is made without a bonus, so wagering doesn't hold up the result.
  • Each test uses one method and records three times, with the weekday: the request, the casino's approval and the money arriving in the bank.
  • We test on weekdays and weekends, and publish each casino's typical time across several tests, not its quickest single result.

Until a casino has been timed, its row shows the casino's stated time. We won't rank casinos by speed until our own results support it. The full method is on How we rate casinos.

Fast payouts and safer gambling

A pending period has one use: it gives you time to decide. If you find yourself cancelling withdrawals to keep playing, use the casino's option to lock withdrawals where it has one, or set a deposit limit. Treat winnings you've asked for as money that has already left the casino. If gambling is getting hard to control, our gambling help page lists free, confidential helplines for each province and territory we cover.

Questions people ask

Which online casino pays out the fastest in Canada?

We can't name one yet, because we haven't timed any withdrawals. The table shows each casino's stated payout time, which is its own claim. Stated times often cover only the casino's approval, not the transfer to your bank. Once we've timed real withdrawals, we'll publish each casino's typical time and the dates we tested.

How long does an Interac e-Transfer withdrawal from a casino take?

It has two parts. First the casino approves your request; each casino's stated time for that is in the table. Then Interac moves the money, which Interac says can take up to 30 minutes depending on your bank or credit union. With Autodeposit, the money goes straight into your account without a security question.

Why is my casino withdrawal taking so long?

The usual causes are unfinished ID checks, a bonus whose wagering isn't met, a deposit turnover rule, a pending period or a weekend. Contact live chat with your transaction reference and ask what's holding the payment and when it will move. If that doesn't work, use the casino's formal complaint process.

Can I withdraw from an online casino without verification?

Expect to verify before your first payout. Casinos check your identity, age and address to prevent fraud and underage play, and the check often covers your payment method too. Sites that promise no checks give you less protection if someone else gets into your account. Upload your documents when you sign up so your first withdrawal isn't delayed.

Is there a same-day payout casino in Canada?

Some casinos state same-day processing for some methods, but we haven't timed any payouts to confirm it. A same-day payout needs both a quick approval and a quick transfer, so it depends on finished ID checks, no active bonus, a weekday request and a method such as Interac e-Transfer. Check each casino's stated time in the table.

Is "best payout" the same as "fastest payout"?

No. Best payout usually refers to return to player (RTP), the share of stakes a game pays back on average over a very large number of plays. Fastest payout is about how soon money reaches you after a withdrawal. A high RTP doesn't make a casino pay faster, and RTP is set game by game rather than for a whole casino.

Are online casino winnings taxable in Canada?

For recreational players, generally not. The Canada Revenue Agency says lottery prizes aren't taxable, and gambling counts as business income only in very exceptional circumstances, judged on all the facts. This isn't tax advice: ask a tax professional about your own situation.
