Casinos are listed in our recommended order. The licence shown for each is the casino's own, issued outside Ireland, because Ireland doesn't license online casinos yet. Payout times are each casino's stated time until we've timed withdrawals ourselves.

The short answer

The best online casino for you is one whose licence you can check, whose € terms are clear and that pays out to the method you use, such as Revolut. No online casino holds an Irish licence yet: the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland has licensed betting only so far. So we compare 12 casinos open to players in Ireland and show each one's own licence, wagering terms and stated payout time. We checked every offer on 22 Oct 2026.

How to read the table

  • Offer: the welcome offer as the casino states it in its terms, in euro. Bonus money and bonus spins come with conditions, set out in the next columns.
  • Wagering: how many times you must bet the bonus, or the deposit plus bonus, before you can withdraw it.
  • Min deposit: the smallest deposit the casino states. Some methods and offers need more.
  • Payout time: the casino's stated time for withdrawals, which often covers only its approval, not the transfer to your account.

Offers change often. If a row and the casino's own terms disagree, the casino's terms apply, and we'd like to hear about it through our contact page.

How we review casinos

We review every casino on this page against the same checklist, for one market at a time. For Ireland that means what Irish players get: euro accounts, the payment methods used here, and the terms that apply to players in Ireland. We don't use player ratings or stars. The checklist covers four areas:

  • Deposits and payouts: methods such as Revolut and debit cards, fees, withdrawal limits in euro and payout times.
  • Bonus terms: wagering, max cash-out and expiry.
  • Account and support: how long ID checks take and how quickly support replies.
  • Safer-gambling tools: deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion.

Until we've tested a casino ourselves, its figures are labelled as the casino's own claims. Our partnerships shape the order of the list, and we say so above it. The full method is on How we rate casinos.

What to check before you join

  1. The casino's licence. Find the licence number in the site's footer and look it up on the regulator's own register. No online casino is licensed by the GRAI yet, so a casino claiming an Irish casino licence is a warning sign.
  2. Wagering in euro. Work out what a bonus asks of you. A €20 bonus with 35x wagering means €700 in bets before you can withdraw it. Check whether the multiple applies to the bonus alone or to the deposit plus bonus, which games count and the maximum bet while wagering.
  3. Withdrawal limits. Look for the minimum withdrawal, any daily, weekly or monthly caps, and the max cash-out on bonus winnings.
  4. ID checks. Expect to upload photo ID and proof of address before your first withdrawal, and sometimes proof that you own your card or account. Doing it when you sign up avoids delays later.
  5. Limits and self-exclusion. Make sure you can set deposit limits and take a break from your account settings, without having to ask support.

Warning signs to walk away from

  • No licence number in the footer, or one you can't find on the regulator's register.
  • A claim to hold an Irish casino licence. None exists yet.
  • A promise of payouts with no ID checks at all.
  • Terms that are hard to find, change often, or let the casino void winnings for vague reasons.
  • Pressure to deposit: countdown timers, repeated messages or offers that appear when you try to leave.
  • Withdrawal fees or limits that only show up once you try to cash out.

Paying in Ireland

Check that a casino lets you play in euro, so your bank doesn't convert every deposit and withdrawal. These are the methods you'll meet most often in casino cashiers:

  • Revolut. Revolut had 3.3 million Irish customers in 2025, about four in five adults, according to the Business Post. Not every casino accepts it. See Revolut casinos.
  • Debit cards. Visa and Mastercard debit cards from Irish banks are the simplest option where a casino takes cards. Withdrawals to a card can take several business days.
  • Apple Pay and Google Pay. Quick for deposits, using a card saved on your phone. Payouts usually go to the card or your bank account instead.
  • PayPal. Keeps your card and bank details away from the casino, but not every casino offers it.
  • Trustly. Pays straight from your bank account through your online banking, without a card, and can usually pay winnings back to the same account.

Operators licensed in Ireland must not accept credit cards, and using credit to gamble is a bad idea wherever you play.

Where Irish regulation stands

The Gambling Regulation Act 2024 created the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI), which was formally established in March 2025. It started licensing remote betting on 1 July 2026. Its register, last updated on 20 October 2026, lists no gaming licences, and online casino licensing isn't expected to open before 2027. Until it does, every online casino open to Irish players is licensed somewhere else. Our Irish licensing tracker follows each step with dates and sources.

Safer gambling and bank gambling blocks

Casino games are built so that, over time, the casino keeps more than it pays out. Treat what you deposit as the cost of entertainment, not a way to make money, and set a deposit limit before your first deposit.

Irish banks can help you put a hard stop in place. Bank of Ireland, AIB, EBS and Revolut all offer a gambling block that stops card payments to gambling sites. In the Revolut app you'll find it under your profile's security settings, and switching it off again can take up to 48 hours. Blocks work on how a payment is coded, so they can miss some sites; blocking software adds a second layer.

If gambling stops being fun, the Gambling Care helpline is open 24 hours a day on 1800 936 725. More support services are on our gambling help page.

Questions people ask

What is the best online casino in Ireland?

Our list starts with the casinos we recommend most, and every one has a full review covering its payouts, bonus terms, support and safer-gambling tools. The right casino for you also depends on how you pay, so check that it takes your method, such as Revolut, before you sign up.

Are online casinos licensed in Ireland?

Not yet. The Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland began licensing remote betting on 1 July 2026, and its register lists no gaming licences. Online casino licensing isn't expected before 2027. Every online casino open to Irish players today holds a licence from another regulator, which you can check on that regulator's own register.

Is online gambling legal in Ireland?

Gambling is legal for adults in Ireland, and online betting is now licensed by the GRAI. Online casinos are in a gap: the licences that will cover them haven't opened yet. Our licensing tracker explains what that means for players and is updated as each phase starts. This is general information, not legal advice.

What is the legal gambling age in Ireland?

You must be 18 or over. Under the Gambling Regulation Act 2024, it's an offence to let anyone under 18 gamble, and casinos check your age when they verify your identity. Online casinos ask for photo ID before you can withdraw, and often before you can play.

Do you pay tax on casino winnings in Ireland?

Generally not. Irish tax law says winnings from betting, lotteries, sweepstakes or games with prizes are not chargeable gains, and Revenue lists betting and lottery wins among the gains exempt from Capital Gains Tax. If your situation is unusual, ask a tax adviser. This isn't tax advice.

Can I use Revolut at online casinos?

At many casinos, yes, but not all. You can usually pay with your Revolut card, through Apple Pay or Google Pay, or by bank transfer from your Revolut account. If you've switched on Revolut's gambling block, card payments to casinos will be declined. Our Revolut casinos page lists casinos that take it.

Can I use a credit card at online casinos in Ireland?

Not at operators licensed by the GRAI, which must not accept credit cards or offer credit. The casinos open to Irish players aren't GRAI-licensed, and some may still take credit cards, but gambling with borrowed money adds interest to any losses. Use a debit card or another method, and set a deposit limit.

How do I block gambling payments on my bank card?

Bank of Ireland, AIB, EBS and Revolut all offer a gambling block. In Revolut, it's in the app under your profile's security settings. For the others, use the bank's app or contact the bank. Once it's on, card payments to gambling sites are declined. Turning it off again usually takes time, which is the point.
