Every casino here accepted payments from a Revolut card or account when we last checked its cashier or terms. They're listed in our recommended order, and payout times are the casino's stated time until we've timed withdrawals ourselves.

The short answer

Yes, at casinos that accept it. You can usually pay with your Revolut card, through Apple Pay or Google Pay, or by bank transfer from your Revolut account, and withdraw back to the card or account. Not every casino takes Revolut, and if you've switched on Revolut's gambling block, card payments to casinos are declined. We list 4 casinos that accept Revolut payments, checked on 22 Oct 2026.

Why Revolut matters for Irish players

Revolut grew to 3.3 million customers in Ireland in 2025, roughly 80% of the adult population, according to the Business Post. For many people here it's the account they use every day, so whether a casino takes it is a practical question. Casinos don't always say "Revolut" in their cashier, because you usually pay with the Visa or Mastercard debit card Revolut issues, or by bank transfer from your Revolut account.

How to deposit with Revolut

  1. Open the casino's cashier and choose card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or bank transfer, whichever the casino offers.
  2. For a card payment, enter your Revolut card details or pick your Revolut card in Apple Pay or Google Pay.
  3. Approve the payment in the Revolut app if it asks you to.
  4. For a bank transfer, follow the casino's steps and send the money from your Revolut account, using any reference the casino gives you.
  5. Check your casino balance. If the money hasn't arrived, contact support with the payment reference.

Use a Revolut account in your own name, matching your casino account. A casino can refuse or return a payment from someone else's account.

How to withdraw to Revolut

Casinos usually pay winnings back to the method you deposited with, where that method allows it. With Revolut, that means one of two routes:

  • To your Revolut card, if the casino pays out to cards. Card payouts can take several business days to show.
  • By bank transfer to your Revolut account, using your account's IBAN. Timing depends on the casino's payment provider.

Before the first payout, expect the casino to check your photo ID and proof of address, and sometimes a screenshot or statement showing the Revolut account is yours. Each casino's stated payout time is in the table above. For what slows a withdrawal, see casino withdrawal times.

Some bonus offers exclude deposits made with certain methods. If you want a bonus, check the offer terms for excluded payment methods before you pay with Revolut, Apple Pay or a bank transfer.

Why some casinos don't accept Revolut

A declined Revolut payment usually comes down to one of these:

  • Your gambling block is on. It stops card payments that are coded as gambling.
  • Revolut declined it. Revolut says some countries require it to block payments to gambling providers that aren't licensed there, so a payment can fail even without the block.
  • The casino doesn't take it. Each casino and its payment provider choose which cards and banks they accept.
  • The details don't match. The name on your Revolut account must match your casino account.

If you think a payment was declined by mistake, Revolut's support team can tell you why from the app. Don't try to get around a decline with a different card if you set the block yourself.

Revolut's gambling block

Revolut lets you switch on a gambling block in the app: tap your profile, then Security, then Payments, and turn on the gambling block. Once it's on, card payments identified as gambling are blocked straight away, including payments to online casinos.

Two limits are worth knowing. The block doesn't cover bank transfers or payments made through third-party apps, and it relies on how a merchant codes its payments, so a site that uses a different code can slip through. Switching it off takes up to 48 hours, which gives you time to think. Bank of Ireland, AIB and EBS offer similar blocks for their cards.

Other ways to pay

  • A debit card from your bank. Visa and Mastercard debit cards from Irish banks usually work where a casino accepts cards. Your bank's own gambling block applies if you've set one.
  • Apple Pay or Google Pay with another card, for deposits.
  • PayPal, where the casino offers it, keeps your bank details private.
  • Trustly pays straight from your bank account through online banking.
  • Paysafecard vouchers are usually deposit-only, so you'll need another method to withdraw.

Avoid credit. Operators licensed in Ireland can't accept credit cards, and gambling with borrowed money adds interest to any losses.

Before your first Revolut deposit

  1. Check the casino's cashier lists card payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay or bank transfer, and that it lets you play in euro.
  2. Make sure your casino account and Revolut account are in exactly the same name.
  3. Check whether your gambling block is on, and remember it stays on for up to 48 hours after you switch it off.
  4. If you want a bonus, check the offer terms for excluded payment methods.
  5. Find out how the casino will pay you back: to your card or to your Revolut IBAN.
  6. Have your photo ID and proof of address ready for the casino's checks.

Keeping control with a Revolut account

Moving money in Revolut takes seconds, which makes it easy to top up again after a loss. Set a deposit limit in your casino account before your first deposit, and consider switching on the gambling block on days you don't plan to play. If you feel you're chasing losses, call the Gambling Care helpline on 1800 936 725, open 24 hours a day, or see our gambling help page.

Questions people ask

Can I use Revolut at online casinos in Ireland?

Yes, at casinos that accept it. You usually pay with your Revolut Visa or Mastercard debit card, through Apple Pay or Google Pay, or by bank transfer from your Revolut account. Not every casino takes it, and the gambling block, if you've switched it on, stops card payments. The casinos in our table accepted Revolut payments when we checked.

Why was my Revolut payment to a casino declined?

The most common reasons are that your gambling block is on, that Revolut blocked a payment to a provider it treats as unlicensed where you are, that the casino doesn't accept the card, or that the name on the accounts doesn't match. The Revolut app shows declined payments, and support can tell you the reason.

How long does a casino withdrawal to Revolut take?

It depends on the casino's approval time and the route. A bank transfer to your Revolut account depends on the casino's payment provider, while a payout to your card can take several business days. Each casino's stated time is in our table. We'll add measured times once we've timed real withdrawals.

How do I turn on Revolut's gambling block?

In the Revolut app, tap your profile, then Security, then Payments, and turn on the gambling block. It stops card payments identified as gambling straight away. It doesn't cover bank transfers or payments through third-party apps, so consider blocking software as well.

Can I switch off the Revolut gambling block straight away?

No. Revolut says switching off the gambling block takes up to 48 hours, and it can only be done in the app. The delay is deliberate: it gives you time to decide whether you really want to gamble again before payments go through.

Is Revolut safe for casino payments?

Paying by card or Apple Pay means the casino never sees your bank login, and you can freeze your Revolut card in the app at any time. The bigger risk is the casino itself, so check its licence on the regulator's register before you deposit, and only use an account in your own name.
